Remember when you looked forward to cute paper valentines in grade school? While this is officially the grown-up alternative!
Total time: 20 minutes
Ingredients for 4 people
2 steaks
puff pastry
tomato sauce
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella
mini mozzarella balls
cherry tomatoes
salt & pepper
egg
Step 1/3
Cut rectangles from the puff pastry. Fold the corners of the upper third. Fold up the edges of the long sides. Spread tomato sauce on the inside.
Step 2/3
Season the steaks and brown them in a hot pan on both sides. Set on top of the tomato sauce. Add pepper. Sprinkle with mozzarella. Fold the bottom half of the dough over the steak. Now fold the top triangle to overlap. Press the ends together with a fork.
Step 3/3
Cut small hearts out of the remaining dough. Place the hearts on the top of the letter. Place everything on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush with egg yolk. Bake in the oven at 350° F for 25 minutes.
