puff pastry sheets
sesame seeds
food coloring
mushrooms
prosciutto
beef
mustard
eggs
almonds
Step 1/3
Start by cutting puff pastry into Easter-themed shapes using cookie cutters. Arrange the cut-out pieces on a baking sheet. Next, mix sesame seeds with food coloring and set them aside.
Step 2/3
Spread cooked mushrooms over slices of prosciutto to form a rectangle. Wrap this mushroom-prosciutto mixture around beef coated in mustard. Place this over a sheet of puff pastry, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with the colored sesame seeds. Place the other cut-out puff pastry sheet on top and wrap tightly.
Step 3/3
Use the excess puff pastry to sculpt the head of a rabbit, complete with almond eyes, as well as ears, legs, and a tail. Brush the cut-out puff pastry on the baking sheet with egg wash. Bake everything for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Once baked, use skewers to prop up the rabbit ears. Serve and enjoy!
