Step 1/4

Take the sea bass and remove the guts (from the gills) as well as the head and tail. Cut from the top downwards without cutting all the way through (the pieces will still be attached by the skin of the belly). Remove the bones.

Step 2/4

In a bowl mix in 1 cup of flour, 1 egg , garlic, pepper and beer. Using a skewer, pierce all fish pieces to have them stay in place side by side, dip in beer batter and fry until golden brown.

Step 3/4

Take mini buns and poke a hole through the bottom with your finger. Make space inside to fill with tartar sauce using a squeeze bottle. Cover the buns in flour followed by eggs and then breadcrumbs. Fry on both sides until golden.

Step 4/4

Place a filled bun on a plate. Add the tomato and lettuce. Remove the fish from oil. Remove the skin with the helpf of a fork. Add the fish pieces to the bun. Top with second filled bun. Enjoy!
