Step 1/3
Halve the apples and pears and cut each half into very thin slices. Align the slices, overlapping them slightly to make 12 fanned strips.
Step 2/3
Make the marzipan: Mix the eggs, sugar, almond powder, and butter and spread the marzipan on the pie crust laid in the pie pan.
Step 3/3
Arrange the fruit strips on their side in the marzipan, sticking them together, and bake for 30 minutes at 350 °F. Serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
