Prep time: 30 minutes, Cook time: 30 minutes, Rest time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for 6 people

3 1/4 cups of flour

1/2 cup of sugar

3/4 cup of butter

3/55 cup of skim milk

1 egg

2 tsp of fresh baker's yeast

1 pincée of salt

1 tsp of cinnamon

powdered sugar

Step 1/5

Crumble the yeast into a bowl. Pour in the warm milk and set aside for about 10 minutes to activate the yeast.

Step 2/5

Add the warm milk to a bowl with 2 ⅓ cups flour, salt, and 2 tbsp sugar. Mix and add a ½ cup melted butter and the egg. Knead and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place, covered with a clean cloth.

Step 3/5

Roll out the dough in a pie pan to a thickness of 2 to 3 cm and let rest for another 30 minutes.

Step 4/5

Prepare the streusel filling: with your hands, crumble the remaining softened butter, add the remaining flour, the remaining sugar, and the cinnamon and knead to obtain a crumbly dough. Spread the streusel over the dough and bake for 30 minutes at 350 °F.

Step 5/5

Let cool before removing from the pan, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy.
