Ingredients for 6 people
1/2 lb of ground beef
1 cup of tomato sauce
2 1/8 cups of bechamel sauce
30 bacon slices
2 1/3 cups of shredded mozzarella
1 onion, chopped
Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a frying pan, then add the tomato sauce and Italian herbs.
Fully cover the base and sides of the loaf pan with the bacon, placing them perpendicular to the walls of the loaf pan.
Place a layer of lasagne sheets on top of the bacon in the bottom of the pan. Add a layer of bechamel sauce, a layer of shredded mozzarella, and then a layer of the beef mix on top. Repeat the layers and finish with a layer of bechamel sauce and mozzarella.
Fold the ends of the slices of bacon over the mozzarella to close the ‘cake’ and bake for 30 minutes at 350 °F. Remove from the pan and return to the oven for 10 minutes to brown the bacon. Remove from pan and enjoy!
