Ingredients for 4 people
1 lb of potatoes, peeled and cubed
6 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of sugar
2/3 cup of water
2/3 cup of flour
3 eggs, beaten
Cook the potatoes in salted boiling water. Drain and mash until smooth.
In a saucepan bring butter, sugar, salt, and water to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat then add the flour and mix well. Put the saucepan back on low heat.
Slowly add beaten eggs to the dough mixture, mixing until it's smooth and thick.
Add the mashed potatoes to the dough and place the mixture in a piping bag. Pipe the mix in spirals straight into hot oil and cook until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel and enjoy with you favorite sauce.
