Banana Sundae Dome

This sweet is bananas! 🍌🍌🍌


Total time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for 6 people

6 eggs

1 cup sugar

3/4 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 sticks + 7 tablespoons butter, melted

2 cups dark chocolate, melted

2 cups whipped cream

6 bananas

1 cup milk chocolate, melted

1 cup white chocolate, melted

Vanilla ice cream


Large oven safe bowl

1 Ziplock bag

Coffee mug

Lemon juicer

Step 1/4

In a bowl, combine eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, butter and dark chocolate. Whisk well to remove any lumps. Pour the batter into a clean oven safe bowl and bake for 1 hour at 350 °F.

Step 2/4

Place a cutting board on top of the cake and turn upside down. Cut the top of the cake off and cut it into 2 inch strips and cut down the center to cut each strip into 2. Fill a Ziplock bag with whipped cream and pipe whipped cream on top of 6 cake strips. Place a banana on top of each slice and smooth the cream with a small spoon. Chill.

Step 3/4

Using a coffee mug as a guide, cut a hole in the center of the cake and fill the hole with whipped cream. Cover the whipped cream with cake and turn the cake upside down onto a large plate. Cover the cake with whipped cream and chill.

Step 4/4

Melt the milk chocolate in a small bowl and dip each banana into the chocolate, covering the top completely. Place the dipped bananas evenly around the cake. Place a strainer in the center of the cake and pour the rest of the milk chocolate into the strainer. Repeat with white chocolate. Top the cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
