Hedgehog Cake

8 eggs

1 1/4 cups sugar

2 cups flour

2 cups mascarpone

4 cups heavy cream

8 tbsp cocoa powder

2 packages Pocky ®

2 gummy eggs

1 tbsp dark chocolate, melted

1 black gumdrop


1 electric hand mixer

1 springform pan

1. Beat the eggs with the sugar, fold in the flour, and pour the mixture into the pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 °F. Whip the mascarpone, cream, and cocoa powder.

2. When the cake comes out of the oven, split in half, line the inside with chocolate whipped cream, and close again.

3. Cut 1/5 of the cake from the right and left. Trim one end of the middle part into a triangle. Place the right and left sides on the center part, with the round side facing upwards. Ice the whole cake with chocolate whipped cream, making a thinner layer on the triangular part and a rounded layer on the other side.

4. Make grooves in the rounded part and plant pieces of Pocky ® in it to make the quills of the hedgehog. Place the gummy eggs upside down on the triangular part to make the eyes. Draw the pupils, eyebrows, and mouth with melted chocolate. Put the gumdrop on the tip to make the nose. Enjoy without pricking yourself!
