Banana Bread Foster

Burning the house down.... with flavor! 🍌🔥🍌

Ingredients for 6 people

4 bananas

2 eggs

2/3 cup sugar

6 tbsp butter

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Brown sugar, for garnish

I cup rum


1 loaf pan

1 hand mixer

4 straws

Cut four bananas in half. Squeeze the halves to remove the bananas from the peels. Mash the bananas with the eggs and set aside. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and banana mixture. Mix well to make a smooth batter. Pour the batter into a lined bread pan and stick 4 banana peels into the batter. Bake for 45 minutes at 325 °F.

Once the cake is cooled, remove the banana peels and sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the cake. In a small pan, light the rum on fire and pour it into the holes in the cake. Once the flames stop, and the liquid has cooled a bit, place a straw in each hole and drink the rum before serving.
